National Windscreens Video
National Windscreens is one of the UK's leading providers of glass repair and replacement services for all types of vehicles. When the company came to launch their ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) Calibration campaign Think Allowed were approached to create a high impact promotional video to demonstrate to the public that National Windscreens are market leaders in ADAS.
It was decided to create three separate videos for the launch,
Following the brief, we decided to develop the films with 50% traditional video and 50% 3D CGI (computer generated imagery). It was important for us to show the benefits of ADAS in a visual form without putting the team in danger and staging an actual crash! Think Allowed’s technically talented team were able to develop 3D CGI software to assist in telling the story. It was a first for the team using car physics simulator software which as you’ll see from the video’s, the cars and they’re movements have a very realistic feel to them. Think Allowed are amongst a handful of companies able to offer the service of combining video and CGI, which provides our customers with the eye-popping video needed to stand out from the crowd when it goes to market.
The team at Think allowed set to writing scripts for each video and producing storyboards for every scene, so the client knew exactly how the videos were going to look before any filming took place, giving them confidence and peace-of-mind. This level of preparation also allowed us to complete the live action video shoot in just one day at National Windscreens’ head office in Bristol.
During the post production phase Think Allowed’s 3D animation team went to work on the 3D CGI enabling us to deliver high impact visuals to the viewer and assisting National Windscreens in telling their story.
The project was delivered on budget and ahead of target with only taking a total of 8 weeks to complete.
